4000 sq.ft Custom House, Muskoka, ON

EIDS Consultants is commissioned to provide structural design services for this beautiful custom house to be built in Muskoka.   Idea was to provide a design with more open spaces, tall windows, and a ceiling-less cathedral roofing system.

EIDS addressed the challenges to design the cathedral roofing system and at the same time avoid the columns in the functional areas below.  To meet the construction schedule, EIDS delivered the project in a very challenging time frame with full client’s satisfaction.

Three-dimensional structural model was developed to design the cathedral roofing system with the combination of ridge beams and posts which are transferred below to create column-free spaces on the main floor.
