Addition and Alteration of existing house in Kenning Place Ontario

Client wanted to upgrade his house by various alterations and addition of a large canopy on back of the house. EIDS Consultants is offering structural design services for new structure as well as providing solutions to alteration work which effects the existing structure. A new glass-covered canopy is designed at rear side of the house with new steel framed structure, supported on new footings. The structure is designed for gravity loads, snow loads and lateral wind load. Roof is also designed for wind uplift pressure. Additional snow accumulation due to sliding and drifting of snow from upper roof is calculated carefully while designing the new canopy. The project is under construction.
